FDU Employee Handbook: Welcome
 Welcome from Dr. Adams
Welcome to the Fairleigh Dickinson University community. We believe that you
have a significant contribution to make to our organization, where the human
dimension is recognized and valued. We strive to create work environments where
people feel good about the work they do and the team they are part of. Fairleigh
Dickinson University feels strongly about the importance of family and has designed
its time off benefits in such a way as to provide the opportunity for an excellent
quality of life for its employees. We feel that we have been successful in humanizing
the workplace and are well on our way to realizing our goal of most desired
employer status.
The University administration has an open door policy,
and we are committed to being pro-active. Please do not assume that
you need to have a problem before contacting your supervisor or any
staff member of the Human Resources Department. They are there to help
you with any research or reference information you may need.
My personal best wishes for your success and happiness at Fairleigh
Dickinson University.
Sincerely,
J. Michael Adams
President

a valued employee.
This handbook is not a contract of employment; rather, this handbook
is to be considered a set of employee guidelines.
- Fairleigh Dickinson University, at its option, may change, delete, suspend
or discontinue any part or parts of the University guidelines in the Employee
Handbook at any time without prior notice as business, employment legislation,
or economic conditions dictate.

- No one other than the associate vice president of human resources may alter

unenforceable and invalid, such finding does not invalidate the entire
Employee Handbook, but only that particular provision.
This Employee Handbook (9/02) replaces any and all other or previous
Employee Handbooks, or other University guidelines or guidance
given to individuals, whether written or oral.
