Institute for Global Commerce

Since its founding in 1942, Fairleigh Dickinson University has taken pride in providing students with international lessons and multicultural perspectives. Today, this mission is vital. Groundbreaking developments in communication, transportation and the spread of information bring billions together from remote regions of the globe. Finances, goods, services and human destinies are linked in ways never before imagined. Humanity is now a shared enterprise.

At Fairleigh Dickinson University, we are committed to preparing world citizens through global education. Toward this end, we are enhancing global relations through:
• Four campuses around the world offering study-abroad and local degree programs;
• Cutting-edge, distance-learning programs linking the world via the Internet;
• Faculty and students from 70 countries offering a global community; and
• Exceptional academic programs with a world view, such as our Global MBA and International Business degrees.

The Institute for Global Commerce serves as the primary University center for research, education and activities that consider the stabilization of global marketplace links among countries and cultures and how these links encourage commerce and support world peace. The Institute maintains relations, at the highest levels, with the United Nations, the United States Department of State and transnational corporations.

The Institute sponsors and conducts activities in five areas:
Global Mergers and Acquisitions Conference
An annual gathering of organizations and individuals responsible for the development of global commerce, who will vitalize and expand the global economy.
Global Issues Forum
A forum bringing together managers, civil servants and government officials from different countries to solve common problems.
Executive Exchange Program
