Pillar Award
Theresa Susann Demay
Director, Academic Resource Center
Metropolitan Campus
A member of the University for nearly 20 years, your work with students in need of tutorial and remedial services is an inspiration to us all. Your infinite patience, exemplary professionalism and heartfelt devotion have helped hundreds of students overcome hurdles and succeed academically, and earned you widespread respect and acclaim. Constantly upbeat and always encouraging, you NEVER turn away a student in need, whether the need involves studying for an exam, critiquing a paper or just providing a pep talk. That same level of compassion and dedication is illustrated by your service on a long list of committees and task forces. Your presence knows no limits, and you will do whatever it takes to provide a positive experience for FDU students. As a friend says, when you see a notice for a charity softball game, a Wellness Committee program, food drive or cultural event, you pick up the phone right away and volunteer. For enhancing the University for the betterment of all, and for enabling students to achieve their dreams, we are very proud to bestow upon you the Pillar award.
