Some claim to excel and others seek out praise, but great leaders like you shine brightest through the examples they set. As director of the Academic Support Center, you have worked tirelessly to deliver the highest standards of excellence. Students know when they call upon you and the center, you will come through for them. In your admirably quiet and dignified manner, you carefully guide a precious support network, adapting proactively to the changing composition of the student body and making sure students have the resources they require. A reliable and valuable friend to the entire community, you serve on the Campus Council, the Orientation Committee and the Academic Appeals Committee. You have been an especially good friend to international students who needed support, comfort and a family far away from home. One of your colleagues remarked with great admiration that “it’s such a pleasure to work with Pat because no personal agendas get in the way.” For keeping students first, next and last on your agenda, we take great pleasure in recognizing you as a true Pillar of the community.
