Linda Lanigan

Special Assistant to the Provost

Metropolitan Campus

You have been an employee of FDU for nearly 20 years and are now entering your 10th year in the Office of the Provost. In this pivotal role, you influence many efforts that benefit all aspects of campus life and you are widely known as THE person to get things done. Coordinate a staff event? Get tickets for a student trip to Broadway? Need help in your search for a dean? Ask Linda. Possessing great patience and understanding, and armed with your countless checklists, you supply the oil that makes this campus run so smoothly. You have served on many groups including the Campus Council, the Wellness Committee, the NCAA Certification Committee and the Middle States Self-Study Group. But you’ve done so much more, including volunteering at student events and serving as a liaison between Teaneck residents and the FDU community. Quiet and unassuming, you are nevertheless always forceful in upholding the tenets of professionalism and good campus citizenship. And, somehow in between serving your university with such devotion, you managed to earn your BA degree, summa cum laude, from FDU. Although you prefer to remain behind the scenes, today we shine the spotlight upon you as a true Pillar of our community.
