Samuel J. Silberman College of Business Administration

For 2001, the New Jersey Collegiate Entrepreneur Awards program is expanding to include New York, Connecticut and Delaware and will be called the East Coast Collegiate Entrepreneur Awards program. It will continue to be coordinated by FDU’s Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies.

The East Coast competition is open to undergraduate-level students who run their own businesses while enrolled in colleges, universities, technical or career schools located in these states.  This program is affiliated with the North American Collegiate Entrepreneur Awards competition sponsored by St. Louis University in Missouri. The deadline for applications is March 9, 2001.

This year’s competition will be judged by Jay Trien, Jr., president of Venture Association of New Jersey; Joseph W. Bartlett, Esq., president of VCExperts.com, Inc.-New York; David J. Freschman, president of Delaware Innovation Fund; and Leonard Vignola, founder of Connecticut Venture Group. Verizon and Alleycat News sponsor and underwrite the competition.

For additional information or application forms call x8842 or e-mail rothman@ fdu.edu.
