FDU Named One of Top Entrepreneurial Schools

Fairleigh Dickinson University has been ranked one of the top 50 “Best Entrepreneurial Schools” by SUCCESS magazine. FDU is the only New Jersey institution to earn this distinction.

The study, published in the February/ March issue, ranked schools on a number of criteria, including the caliber of students, faculty, curriculum, outreach to the community, innovative programs and reputation among fellow schools.

“There are more than 250 entrepreneurship programs in the country, and more appearing all the time,” said SUCCESS president and publisher Victoria Conte. “To make the list shows superior innovation and accomplishment by these schools.”

At FDU, entrepreneurial studies are offered by the Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies, part of the Samuel J. Silberman College of Business Administration. Besides its acclaimed academic programs, the Rothman Institute offers seminars on entrepreneurial topics and hosts a Family Business Forum to support family businesses.

Leo Rogers, Jr., director, entrepreneurial studies, F-M, said, “We are proud to be cited by SUCCESS magazine. This honor is a tribute to the innovative programs we offer to students and the community; programs like our newly announced business incubator, which will assist students and others in starting technology and Internet-related businesses, and our Family Business Forum, which has been supporting families businesses for nearly a decade.”
