Stress-management Seminars for U.N. Security

The United Nations has awarded a contract to the University’s New College of General and Continuing Studies and its Public Administration Institute to conduct stress-management seminars for the U.N.’s security force in New York City.

Fairleigh Dickinson University is the first university in the history of the United Nations to be selected for a project tailored to the needs of the security personnel. The program was reviewed for content by Gina Buck, psychology, New College, T-H, and will be taught by Kenneth Vehrkens, dean, New College, T-H; Ronald Calissi, executive associate dean for off-campus programs, New College, T-H; and Domenick Varricchio, criminal justice/sociology, T-H.
