FDU Goes WirelessAs of December 3, various areas on the campuses are wireless cyberspace locations.If laptops are enabled for wireless communication, anytime they are turned on in these locations, access to the Internet is available. Older machines become wireless with the addition of a plug-and-play PCMCIA wireless card. Cisco, Lucent or Intel 802.11b wireless cards are recommended but anything that is 802.11b wireless compliant should work. Locations include: at Teaneck-Hackensack — Jeepers in Alumni Hall with Dickinson Hall Café scheduled next; and at Florham-Madison — the Dreyfuss Building with the Mansion, the Library and Nathan’s in the Stadler/Zenner Academic Building planned next. |
