    Four major musical entertainment styles:

MusicAmerica: WFDU(FM)'s blend of traditional American music forms. On the air since 1980, MusicAmerica embraces traditional and new Folk, Bluegrass, Blues, Cajun and Zydeco performances. The format is offered throughout the week with the greatest concentration found during the weekdays.

Classic Country 89: the latest version of WFDU(FM)'s long-time relationship with Country music. It provides the listener with a broad range of  traditional Country performed by the original artists. Heard on the overnights Tuesdays-Fridays and during the daytime on Tuesday and Thursday, Classic Country has been well received by area listeners.

Across the Tracks: the station's weekday afternoon dose of Rhythm and Blues which was on the air well before the New York "urban" stations recognized the need for a source of solid R&B. The format blends both classic soul with new artists who perform in the traditional style.

The New Music Alternative: the station's longest running musical format and the definitive source for followers of the new music scene. Offered primarily on the weekends, the New Music Alternative has been keenly tuned to the musical trends of the last two decades.
