Master of Administrative Science (MAS)
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
The Master of Administrative Science (MAS) is a 30-credit degree program designed to develop critical managerial skills and leadership effectiveness. It is structured to address the career development needs of adult learners working in administrative and professional positions in the government and military, as well as the public and non-profit sectors.
The program combines both cognitive and interactive instruction through case studies, individual and group exercises, and research, with an emphasis on writing skills. The MAS experience seeks to develop administrative competencies in the supportive online learning environment that FDU has developed and for which it has received national recognition.
The MAS curriculum is structured to enable students to earn certificates in a variety of disciplines that will advance their professional credentials as they pursue their master’s degrees. Students can tailor their studies to their specific career objectives and needs. Each certificate comprises four 3-credit courses (12 credits per certificate). All credits earned apply directly toward the Master of Administrative Science degree. The MAS degree can be completed in as little as 20 months while working full time.
For information on the certificates available, see Graduate Certificates.
