Why Pagetoaster Didn't Pop for You

Pagetoaster is FDU's web-based feature that makes web pages for FDU faculty and staff. Pagetoaster must find your email address in its database before it will build your page. 

No email address?

Get an email address if you don't have one. It need not be an FDU email address, so if you have an email address outside fdu.edu, that's fine. It should be an email address that you read and answer in a timely way. Also, since the address that Pagetoaster knows you by will appear at the bottom of your Pagetoaster page, you may not want to use your PoohBear@JoesISPnBurgers.com address. 

To get an FDU email address, go to Webmail and click "create new webmail account". 

Pagetoaster hasn't been told?

Pagetoaster must know the email address that you have. Email addresses that have the form whoever@fdu.edu and/or that appear in the FDU on-line phone directory at http://www.fdu.edu/webresources/allsearch.html are usually in the Pagetoaster database. 

If your email address isn't in the phone directory, or if it is there but not correct, please do two things: 

  • send email to the webmaster asking to have your address added to (or corrected in) the Pagetoaster database;
  • submit a PIN form to Human Resources so that the next edition of the online phone directory WILL have your correct email address.

    • Mis-entered?

    The email address must match perfectly to what's in Pagetoaster's database. 
  • Pagetoaster (like most users of the World Wide Web) prefers lower case, so try your address as all lower case. 
  • Your email address is not correct with any spaces in it.
  • Your email address must have one and only one @ and that at-sign must appear between your user-id and the name of the server or service that hosts your email.
  • Most email addresses end with .com or .edu or .net. Addresses that are hosted at FDU all end in .fdu.edu, never.fdu.com.
  • The password you use to get access to your mail is not a part of your email address.
