November 13, 2019 – The International School of Hospitality and Tourism Management has reached another milestone by becoming a member of Hotel Schools of Distinction (HSD). The International School of Hospitality and Tourism Management is being recognized by an international group of peers for the quality of its education and professional talent of their graduates. HSD is an international non-profit organization based in the United States of America that accredits very high-quality hospitality schools and programs by measuring student learning outcomes against professional standards. Students graduating from HSD schools are awarded the HSD Visual Transcript ™. This provides employers with concrete information about the relevant talent and competencies these graduates bring to their employers.
“We are honored to be an HSD member school as this organization is unique in its mission and purpose,” said Dr. John Niser, director of the International School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. “All the member schools, including ours, have mapped their curriculum outcomes against HSD’s undergraduate learning outcomes which in turn will allow us to deliver to all our undergraduate students the HSD Visual Transcript ™ which actually speaks to the competencies our students have demonstrated they have achieved making them distinctive and helping them on their journey to successful careers. In this way, the HSD Visual Transcript actually goes a step further than an academic transcript by making a clear statement in plain English about what our graduates can do “better” when they graduate.
