Press Release: FDU on the rise in U.S. News rankings
August 2019 — Fairleigh Dickinson University has jumped in the latest U.S. News and World Report Best College rankings, rising from 62 to 56 among regional universities in the North region. Even more impressive is the fact that FDU rose from 33 in Best Value Colleges in the North to number 20.
“These latest rankings do indeed reflect the growing progress and momentum at Fairleigh Dickinson University,” President Christopher A. Capuano said. “Propelled by our strategic plan and our historic capital campaign, FDU is on the move and many people are learning more about our University and its extraordinary value.”
Capuano added, “While collegiate rankings do not tell the whole story, the U.S. News rankings in particular are important and provide useful information for students and parents, and so we hope to continue to rise further in the coming years.”
Several other FDU programs were highlighted in the rankings as well.
The University’s undergraduate programs in business and engineering were named among the top in the nation. In addition, FDU was ranked 32 among Regional Universities in the North for veterans and the University was the 28 most diverse college or university in the region. FDU was also recognized among the top in Best Undergraduate Teaching (35 in the region), Most Innovative Schools (21) and Top Performers on Social Mobility (41).
