April 30, 2020 — For students in FDU’s Honors Program, senior year brings the challenge of proving their capabilities as a scholar through a year-long foray into conducting research and writing a thesis. Seniors choose a topic, work with an academic mentor, and pursue the discovery of new information. The following are a handful of seniors in the honors program who presented their research during Honors Research Day, April 28 to April 30. COVID-19 presented an additional hurdle for these students as they worked with their mentors virtually to complete most of the latter half of their research and writing. They are presenting via Zoom. With Honors Research Day finally upon them, students delivered finished projects on a range of subjects touching on both their personal interests and their chosen professional fields.
