New Online Certificate Programs and Summer Classes Available at Reduced Tuition Rates

Teaneck, N.J. (May 21, 2020) – Recognizing the financial toll and job uncertainties COVID-19 has presented, Fairleigh Dickenson University (FDU) announced it will offer a number of virtual undergraduate and graduate programs for students during its 2020 summer session to further their education and acquire new job skills at significantly reduced tuition rates.

For industry professionals who see this unprecedented time as an opportunity to expand their knowledge and advance their skills, FDU is introducing new workplace development certificate programs in a variety of fields, including public health communication and leadership; cybersecurity administration; online instructional design; digital marketing; and professional and technical writing. Each online program consists of three core required courses and one elective and is being offered at a nominal cost with flexible payment plans available.

“While this pandemic has caused a great deal of job loss and career instability, using this time productively to learn new skills and enhance job competencies will help position professionals for better opportunities in their fields once we emerge from this pandemic, said Luke Schultheis, Vice President for Enrollment, Planning and Effectiveness at Fairleigh Dickinson University. “FDU has designed these programs specifically to fill that need during this challenging time by providing affordable, high-quality, relevant courses and credentialing that will help students bolster their resumes and ultimately achieve their professional goals.”

Both undergraduate and graduate students will also have the opportunity to accelerate their degrees and reduce their tuition fees by enrolling in FDU’s 2020 summer courses for our second session occurring from June 8 to July 18, as well as our third session from June 29 to August 8. Undergraduate students taking more than one course will be able to take all additional classes at a 50% reduced rate. For graduate students, after their first three credits, all subsequent credits will be half price.

“FDU recognizes that many individuals and families are experiencing financial hardships as a result of this pandemic and we want to provide options that help students continue to pursue their academic studies and aspirations,” said Schulteis.
