Academic Profile

I am a painter with strong roots in drawing. I work from observation and from invention. I have participated in exhibitions at venues including The Brooklyn Museum, Wadsworth Atheneum, Yale University, San Diego Art Institute, The McNay Art Museum, MOCADA, Coney ArtWalls, Steven Harvey Fine Arts Projects.  Solo exhibitions include The Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art, Staten Island, NY, FigureWorks Gallery, Brooklyn, NY, Bowery Gallery, NYC, Peligro Gallery, NoLA and the courtyard at PS1, Queens, NY. I have appeared in The New York Times, Islands Magazine, Design New Jersey, and on NY1.

I have been included in AMC Ride with Norman Reedus, PBS Metrofocus, Inkmasters,  Men In Black 3, St. Vincent, Law and Order, Discovery Channel. I have been the subject of documentaries by Marilyn Agrelo, Joshua Glick, and Patrick Regan.  I am pleased to be included in books such as 100 New York Painters by Cynthia Dantzig, Coney Island Lost and Found by Charles Denison, City Lights, New York Stories, by Dan Barry, and am the only female included in Painters of the Peculiar by Michael Papas. I am an ethical vegetarian tending toward vegan, I prefer manual transmission to automatic.
