Academic Profile

Suzanne Miro is a Master’s Certified Health Educator with over 30 years of experience in both public and private sector health settings. She is currently a health communication specialist with the New Jersey Department of Health. Ms. Miro has spoken nationally and statewide on health education emergency preparedness and infectious disease topics and continues to work on issues related to health education capacity building and public information for health emergencies. There are also several peer-reviewed journal publications to her name. Ms. Miro has served in public health leadership roles having served multiple terms on the board of the NJ Society for Public Health Education as well as multiple terms on the Board of Trustees for the national SOPHE organization.
