Student Work and Exhibitions
Exhibitions
The Annual Student Art Exhibition provides a hands-on learning experience for students to work closely with Studio Art Faculty at each phase of production: from poster and exhibit design, art installation and photo documentation to opening reception promotion and event planning.
Alum Art Exhibitions
Alumni art exhibitions are supported both on- and off-campus and recently include the Hunter College Project Space, NYC and Kean University, NJ.
Faculty Research Projects
Select students have a unique opportunity to work directly with a faculty member on their professional art projects and installations. Student research assistants have recently worked with Professor George Cochrane on his Graphic Novel in-progress, and with Professor Judy Moonelis on her historic-site art installations at Eastern State Penitentiary and other locations.
Creative Internships
While studying on the Madison Campus students may take advantage of internship opportunities that offer a rare glimpse into professional practices. Recently students have turned internships into employment opportunities in museums, arts organizations, schools and businesses. Some students have harnessed their entrepreneurial interests creating their own art related businesses and projects.
Career Workshops
Our ongoing annual career workshops “Life After FDU” offers students invaluable advise and practical solutions for a creative future in the arts.
Art Alum Network
We keep close touch with our alum and each semester host receptions and trips where current art students from the College at Florham meet alum. The Studio Art Alumni Club is a continually growing network where FDU Art students support and help each other.
