Afsaneh Javadi, Assistant Professor, joined Fairleigh-Dickinson in 2018. She is an Electronic and Computer Engineer with a Ph.D. in the field who has worked in Data Communication, Network, Systems and Security as well as Artificial intelligence. She earned her BSc. and MSc. in Electrical engineering and Computer science from Ferdowsi university of Mashhad-Iran and her Ph.D. in Smart system and Robotics from the University of Putra Malaysia. Her Ph.D. thesis proposed a novel nature-based intelligent routing algorithm for Routing in Internet that had many publications. Her current teaching interests are: Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics, Data communications, System/Network design and Artificial intelligence. Afsaneh is passionate about smart cities and focuses on citizens’ participation. This passion has grown in several ways to the fields of education, technology, business, and communities. She broadened knowledge of about 1,500 students in both graduate and undergraduate levels, for diverse courses in ECE Engineering and Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Networks, software development and Information Security.
She offers a track record of academic excellence with successful teaching in Iran, Malaysia, and Canada and related industry experience. As an engineer, she has worked in the industry for many years and has had different responsibilities in many IT fields in particular as an IT director, System administrator, and Network engineer. By integrating knowledge with practical expertise she has been able to engage and connect students to their future industry careers. She holds relevant industry certificates CCNA, CCNP, Security+, Linux+.
