FDU’s First Annual TEDxFDU
We are very excited to officially announce the kickoff event for the Center for the Interdisciplinary Study of Leadership (CISL). CISL will be hosting the first annual TEDxFDU live on all three North American campuses on Thursday, April 23! (6 pm EST, 3 pm PST) The event will feature speakers on each campus and will be livestreamed to the other campuses in real time. TEDxFDU will showcase and share the amazing thought leadership being done by FDU with the entire University community.
The locations on each campus are:
- Metropolitan Campus: Wilson Auditorium in Dickinson Hall
- Florham Campus: The Orangerie in the Monninger Center
- Vancouver Campus: Room 130 or the Student Lounge
I am also excited to officially announce the slate of speakers for the event. The slate represents faculty, staff, alumni, external partners, and organizational supporters from all four major academic units and all three North American campuses.
The speakers are:
- Uchenna Baker, Vice President for Student Affairs and Division III Athletics Administration and Dean of Students
- Otito Iwuchukwu, Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, FDU Health; and author
- Stacie Lents, Professor of Theater and Communication and Director of Theater, Maxwell Becton College of Liberal Arts and Education
- Marion McClary, Professor of Biological Sciences; Chair of Biological Sciences Department, Gregory H. Olsen College of Engineering and Science
- Micheline Nader, Member of FDU’s Board of Trustees and Chair of the Silberman College of Business Board of Advisors; author, speaker and consultant
- D. Scott Parsons, Executive Director of the Institute for Character and Leadership, affiliated with the Marion Turpan College of Psychology and Counseling, FDU Health
- Bruce Peabody, Professor of Government and Politics, Maxwell Becton College of Liberal Arts and Education; Director of Fairleigh Institute for Lifelong Learning at Florham
- Louai Rahal, Assistant Professor of Administrative Science, School of Public and Global Affairs, Silberman College of Business, FDU Vancouver
- Paulaska Ramirez, MAS’11 (Metro), Speaker and consultant; Founder and Executive Director, Generation Fearless
- Ramin Shadmehr, Associate Provost, FDU Vancouver
