Hackensack River Tides
No part of the Metropolitan Campus is more than a short walk from the River, and many campus buildings have great views of the rise and fall of tides, as the Hackensack is an estuary. Tides on the river can be calculated from information provided by NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

River Gauge
When it rains a lot, you can check the status of the river gauge. The gauge is located upstream in New Milford, NJ. Flood stage is estimated at 6 feet.
