About Counseling

The college years can be exciting, challenging and scary all at the same time. Sometimes life can feel a little overwhelming and tough to face on your own. Social, academic or personal conflict can create feelings of distress, and strain our sense of emotional well-being.

When students experience disturbing thoughts, emotions or events, it is often helpful to speak with a non-judgmental expert in human relations who can listen and offer a fresh perspective.

Fairleigh Dickinson University students often see a counselor because they are experiencing a rough time due to social, academic or personal struggles.
