FDU Vancouver Alumni Awards 2026
The Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) Alumni Association proudly recognizes outstanding FDU Vancouver alumni who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, service, and impact.
In 2026, the FDU Vancouver Alumni Association is launching three Alumni Awards, hosted in Fall 2026 at the new FDU Vancouver Campus at Oakridge Park to honor the valuable contributions of FDU Vancouver alumni to the university, their professions, and their communities in British Columbia and beyond.
Nominees should demonstrate excellence in one or more of the following areas:
- Made significant contributions to FDU Vancouver and actively supported the university community (e.g., involvement in programs, events, mentorship, or alumni engagement).
- Achieved distinction and demonstrated leadership in their professional field (e.g., career progression, industry recognition, innovation, or entrepreneurship).
- Contributed positively to their community or society (e.g., civic engagement, volunteering, or impact through professional work).
- Demonstrated a commitment to mentorship, collaboration, and giving back (e.g., supporting students, alumni, or fostering inclusive communities).
- Embodied resilience, integrity, and the values of FDU as a global institution (e.g., perseverance, cross-cultural impact, and acting as a strong ambassador).
Who Can Nominate?
Nominations are welcome from any member of the FDU Vancouver and broader community, including staff and faculty, board and advisory committee members, students and fellow alumni, employers, community partners and members of the public. Self-nomination is encouraged.
Alumni Award Categories
FDUV Pinnacle Alumni Award
The highest annual alumni recognition, the FDU Vancouver Pinnacle Alumni Award honors an FDU Vancouver alumnus or alumna who has demonstrated an exceptional loyalty, leadership, advocacy and service to Fairleigh Dickinson University and the broader community. Recipients of this prestigious award have achieved significant distinction in their professional careers, making meaningful contributions to their field while exemplifying personal, global and transformational impact. The award recipients bring pride and distinction to FDU Vancouver and serve as inspiring ambassadors of the university’s values locally and globally.
FDUV Volunteer of the Year Award
The Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes an FDU Vancouver alumnus or alumna who has made significant volunteer contributions to one or more of the following areas of academic programs, admissions and recruitment, student and career development, alumni relations and development, fundraising initiatives, student life and overall engagement
FDUV Outstanding Young Alumni Award
The Outstanding Young Alumni Award celebrates an FDU Vancouver graduate who has achieved exceptional professional success early in their career. Recipients who are 29 years old or younger, are recognized as emerging leaders in their field, and have demonstrated service to FDU Vancouver and/or the Alumni Association.
Eligibility Criteria (for Nominees)
To be eligible for an FDU Vancouver Alumni Award, nominees must:
- Have completed an undergraduate or graduate program at FDU Vancouver
- Submit a completed nomination by June 30, 2026
- (Outstanding Young Alumni Award only) Be 29 years old or younger
Nomination Process
All nominations are treated with the utmost confidentiality and are managed by the FDU Vancouver Marketing and Communications Team. The process includes three stages:
Step 1: Submit a Nomination
- Complete the online nomination form. Submissions are reviewed by the FDU Vancouver Alumni Awards Committee.
Please note: Only one nomination for a category per candidate is required; multiple nominations for the same category do not increase a nominee’s chances of selection.
Step 2: Follow‑Up
- The nominator may be contacted to provide additional information about the alumni nominee.
Step 3: Final Review and Approval
- Following full consideration, the Alumni Awards Committee will recommend finalist(s) for approval by the FDU Vancouver leadership team.
