FDU Joins the Age Tech Collaborative from AARP
July 30, 2025 — Fairleigh Dickinson University has joined the AgeTech Collaborative from AARP, an ecosystem of organizations working on technological solutions to meet the needs of the world’s aging population.
The collaborative provides a valuable forum for organizations to connect and share ideas and opportunities to foster greater improvements that will benefit people as they age. AgeTech is a rapidly growing array of technology solutions that include products and services in HealthTech and mobility aids, as well as robotics and artificial intelligence.
“We are excited to contribute to the AgeTech Collaborative and to help shape solutions that support aging in place and strengthen intergenerational connections,” said FDU President Michael Avaltroni. “Our work at FDU bridges disciplines and generations, and we are committed to advancing innovations that empower older adults to live independently while engaging meaningfully with their communities.”
Avaltroni added that the University looks forward to engaging with other participants, contributing its expertise and collaborating on meaningful solutions to some of today’s most pressing problems for our aging population.
Earlier this year, the University announced the formation of FDU HealthPath Forward, which seeks to transform healthcare education and training by building a coalition dedicated to healthcare innovation, to creating models of health and well-being on campus and beyond, and to forging new connections between technology, health sciences, business, engineering and other related areas.
