Student Volunteers with FIFA
September 15, 2025 — Sophomore Kimberly Reyes Vasquez volunteered at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup this summer.
In this event, a prelude to the 2026 FIFA World Cup which features national teams, 32 professional clubs from around the world competed against one another.
Matches were held at stadiums around the United States. The event ran from June 14 through July 13, 2025.
Reyes, a business administration major on the Metropolitan Campus, volunteered at MetLife Stadium on the hospitality team.
“I was not a soccer fan before this. But I learned so much. It was such a great cultural experience,” she says. “FIFA is a global organization, and its values align with mine. I grew up in a multicultural town and FDU is culturally diverse, so it was easy for me to connect and talk to the people I met and worked with.”
The hospitality team greeted and guided fans and VIP guests to their seats, fan zones and suites.
Reyes plans to apply for a volunteer position again with FIFA, this time for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
