Step into the rapidly evolving world of immersive technology with FDU Vancouver’s Simulation Design and Immersive Realities certificate program. Offered by FDU Vancouver’s Continuing Professional Studies, this short 12-month program prepares learners to design, build, and deploy interactive simulations, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), extended reality (XR), and spatial computing experiences. 

Through hands-on projects, real-time 3D environments, IoT-connected systems, and AI-enhanced workflows, students develop the technical and creative skills needed to create engaging digital experiences across industries including entertainment, education, healthcare, training, architecture, and visualization. Method of Evaluation 

Learners are assessed through assignments within each course. Each course includes three assignments that assess technical proficiency, applied problem-solving, and portfolio-ready deliverables. Refer to the individual course outlines above for details.  

Completion Requirements 

Learners must pass all 12 courses. A passing grade requires a minimum score of 60% in each course. Learners who do not meet the minimum threshold may be offered one resubmission opportunity per course, at the discretion of the program lead. Please contact esvancouver@fdu.edu.
