The Future of Healthcare Starts Here.

Healthcare is changing at an unprecedented pace. Artificial intelligence is transforming diagnosis and treatment. Digital innovation is reshaping care delivery. Workforce shortages are intensifying. Communities are seeking more equitable, accessible and compassionate systems of care.

FDU HealthPath Forward is powering the knowledge engine that delivers solutions to today’s — and tomorrow’s — healthcare challenges.

Launched in 2025, FDU HealthPath Forward is a bold, university-wide initiative designed to expand health education, support innovation and prepare professionals for leadership in a technology-driven healthcare system. Most of all, it is committed to elevating the essential human relationships at the center of care.

Four Pillars. One Purpose.

FDU HealthPath Forward brings together education, research, technology and partnerships through four core pillars:

  1. Future-Driven Academics
FDU provides current and future healthcare professionals with the knowledge, skills, and inspiration to thrive at every stage — from high school to higher education, career development, and beyond. Academic programs are driven by the division of FDU Health and enriched by health-related programs across the University.
FDU offers nearly 60 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs in the healthcare field, including:

    • Allied Health
    • Medical Imaging
    • Mental Health Counseling
    • Nursing
    • Pharmacy
    • Physician Assistant Studies
    • Psychology
    • Respiratory Therapy

Our students also earn degrees in related fields that are essential to the future of healthcare, supporting innovation, operations, technology, data-driven decision making, security and organizational leadership. These include programs in:

    • Business
    • Cybersecurity
    • Data analytics
    • Engineering
    • Healthcare Administration
    • Healthcare Hospitality Management
    • Health Education
  2. Innovation Catalyst
State-of-the-art learning environments and emerging technologies — with a particular emphasis on AI, digital health and data science — support our teaching and research.
We empower students and faculty to shape the future of care rather than react to it. They develop their technical skills alongside critical thinking, ethical reasoning and clinical excellence.
  3. Synergistic Partnerships
We are building a powerful network of healthcare systems, industry leaders, educators and community organizations. These partnerships strengthen experiential learning, research, internships and clinical placements. They also promote innovation that improves patient outcomes and enhances community wellness and access to healthcare.
  4. Connected Communities of Health
Health extends beyond direct clinical care. FDU HealthPath Forward advances a multigenerational approach to well-being across FDU’s campuses in Madison and Teaneck, throughout the Northeast Innovation Corridor and beyond. We are creating campus-based communities of health that will serve as models for prevention, access and engagement.
    Together, we are building:

    • A dynamic pipeline of clinical and nonclinical health professionals
    • A coalition of healthcare, industry and community partnerships
    • Campus-based models of lifelong well-being
    • A culture of innovation grounded in compassion

HealthxHumanics™

Preparing Professionals Who Remain Deeply Human in a Technology-Driven World

As AI and digital technologies redefine healthcare, the essential question becomes:

How do we prepare professionals to remain deeply human in a technology-driven world?

HealthxHumanics™ (Health By Humanics) is the connective philosophy embedded throughout FDU HealthPath Forward. It ensures our graduates are:

  • Tech-fluent and data-literate.
  • Grounded in empathy and cultural competency.
  • Agile, collaborative and ethically driven.

Our graduates are data-literate and tech-savvy — but equally skilled in human connection. They evaluate innovation through a human-centered lens, ensuring that patients, families, providers and communities remain at the heart of every decision.

Fueling Innovation: The Klasko Humanics Innovation Challenge Fund

The Klasko Humanics Innovation Challenge Fund supports the development of humanics-driven programming across the University, accelerating interdisciplinary collaboration and new models of education.

At its center will be the Marion Turpan Innovation and Humanics Hub, scheduled to open in 2027 — a vibrant gathering and training space designed to bring students, faculty, industry leaders and community partners together at the intersection of technology, health and human connection.

This hub will serve as a catalyst for idea generation, experiential learning and transformative professional growth.
