Rosemary Trinkle Baran
Rosemary Trinkle Baran is a proud 1983 graduate of the Silberman School of Business at Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU), where she concentrated in Hotel and Restaurant Management at the original Rutherford campus as one of only eight women in her graduating class. Upon graduation, Rosemary was selected as a Corporate Management Trainee at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City, and her hospitality career flourished with leadership roles at Hilton and Hyatt Hotels, where she specialized in acquisitions and new hotel openings across the country. In 1995, she transitioned from hotel operations to training, becoming Director of Training for Hyatt during the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. She later returned to New Jersey to serve as Hyatt University Director, overseeing training and organizational development for 25 hotels in the Northeast Division.
In 2005, Rosemary shifted her focus to healthcare, joining New York Presbyterian Hospital, where she has served for 20 years. As Manager of Organizational Development, she leads enterprise-wide initiatives in talent and change management for a workforce of over 48,000 across 10 hospital campuses.
Rosemary served as a member of the Alumni Association Board of Governors for nine years and is the immediate past President of the Board. Rosemary continues to be involved with the Alumni Association serving as an Emeritus member.
Beyond FDU, Rosemary is deeply engaged in her hometown of Clifton, NJ. She is the immediate past president of the Board of Recreation for the City of Clifton, and considers local politics her hobby, serving as the campaign manager for the late Clifton City Councilwoman Lauren Murphy.
