Due to the forecasted winter storm, both New Jersey campuses will be closed beginning Saturday January 24th at 8pm through Monday January 26th. All university Operations including events and classes, both remote and in-person, including co-curricular events, are cancelled through and including Monday, January 26th. An update for Monday evening athletic events and Tuesday classes and activities will be provided on Monday. Essential personnel such as public safety, facilities and dining are expected to remain on campus. Stay Safe!
In celebration of our nation’s 250th anniversary, the FDU 250 Acts of Kindness Campaign will unite students, faculty, staff, and alumni to perform 250 Acts of Kindness. Through this initiative, the FDU community will work in partnership with local organizations, businesses, and industry representatives to engage in 250 collective acts of kindness that reflect the University’s enduring mission of global citizenship and civic responsibility. Together, we will demonstrate our shared commitment to service, generosity, and community engagement. Kindness! Rooted in FDU’s tradition of providing personal, global, and transformational experiences that extend beyond the classroom, this campaign encourages everyone to give back through meaningful service. Whether organizing campus and community clean-ups, stocking the shelves of local food banks, or supporting campus-wide fundraising efforts, FDU’s 250 Acts of Kindness will make a lasting and positive impact on both the University and the surrounding communities we serve.
A successful campaign will require full commitment and support from the university community. Strong, consistent messaging from university leadership will be essential to reinforce the campaign’s purpose and encourage active participation. This may include offering pre-approved release time for employees to engage in volunteer activities and encouraging faculty involvement by providing class flexibility and joining students in service efforts. The campaign also presents an opportunity for the FDU community to collaborate with industry, business, and government partners, working side by side to deliver meaningful services. These partnerships will foster mutual benefits, strengthen relationships, promote teamwork, and allow students to gain valuable insights from professionals with diverse perspectives.

Event Inclusion & Partnership Submission Form
Acts of Kindness will be tracked from January through May 2026 by participants documenting their kindness via form collection. Ongoing tracking will monitor progress and notify the community as milestones—and ultimately the campaign goal—are reached. Information collected will include participation details, timing, location, and the outcomes of each effort. Participants will also be encouraged to submit photographs as confirmation of their involvement.
In May 2026, the campaign will culminate with a celebration ceremony recognizing the collective achievements and honoring all who contributed to the success of FDU’s 250 Acts of Kindness Campaign. Please share your Act of Kindness by clicking the button below.
The FDU 250 Acts of Kindness will begin January 28, 2026, where students, staff, and community members will have the opportunity to learn about all the kindness acts available to complete from January 28th to May 6th. We will celebrate the total kindness acts of service conducted by our students and staff. The services consists of volunteerism, gifts and donations, service, education, and much more.
