Mission Statement

Olsen College of Engineering and Science empowers a wide community of learners to innovate and lead through rigorous, hands-on, and ethically grounded education with degree programs in computer science, engineering/engineering technology, mathematics, biology and biochemistry. We foster academic excellence, integrity, and deep collaboration across STEM disciplines and FDU HealthPath Forward to bridge theory with practical career preparation. Olsen College is a place where scientific rigor meets personalized, transformational mentorship through experiential learning, cutting-edge research, and community engagement. Our faculty cultivate curiosity, quantitative literacy, experience with scientific techniques and instrumentation, and the skills students need to become leaders in both basic and applied sciences.
