FDU Vancouver Alumni Awards
The Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) Alumni Association proudly recognizes outstanding FDU Vancouver alumni who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, service, and impact.
In Fall 2026, the FDU Vancouver Alumni Association will launch three Alumni Awards at the new FDU Vancouver Campus at Oakridge Park. These awards will honour alumni whose contributions have strengthened the university, advanced their professions, and positively impacted their communities in British Columbia and beyond.
Nominees should demonstrate excellence in one or more of the following areas:
- University Engagement: Actively supported FDU Vancouver through program involvement, event participation, mentorship, or alumni engagement.
- Professional Leadership: Achieved distinction and demonstrated leadership in their field through career progression, industry recognition, innovation, or entrepreneurship.
- Community Impact: Made meaningful contributions to their community or society through civic engagement, volunteerism, or professional service.
- Mentorship and Giving Back: Committed to mentoring students or alumni, fostering collaboration, and building inclusive communities.
- Values and Resilience: Embodied FDU’s values by demonstrating integrity, perseverance, cross-cultural impact, and serving as a strong ambassador for the university.
Who Can Nominate?
Anyone from the FDU Vancouver and broader community may submit a nomination, including staff and faculty, board and advisory committee members, students, alumni, employers, community partners, and members of the public. Alumni are also encouraged to nominate themselves.
Alumni Award Categories
FDUV Pinnacle Alumni Award
The FDU Vancouver Pinnacle Alumni Award, the university’s highest annual alumni honour, recognizes an FDU Vancouver alumnus or alumna who demonstrates exceptional loyalty, leadership, advocacy, and service to Fairleigh Dickinson University and the broader community. Recipients achieve significant distinction in their professional careers, contribute meaningfully to their fields, and exemplify personal, global, and transformational impact. Through their accomplishments and service, award recipients bring pride and distinction to FDU Vancouver and serve as inspiring ambassadors of the university’s values locally and globally.
FDUV Volunteer of the Year Award
The Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes an FDU Vancouver alumnus or alumna who has made significant volunteer contributions to academic programs, admissions and recruitment, student and career development, alumni relations and development, fundraising initiatives, student life, and overall community engagement.
FDUV Outstanding Young Alumni Award
The Outstanding Young Alumni Award celebrates an FDU Vancouver graduate who has achieved exceptional professional success early in their career. Recipients who are 29 years old or younger, are recognized as emerging leaders in their field, and have demonstrated service to FDU Vancouver and/or the Alumni Association.
Eligibility Criteria (for Nominees)
To be eligible for an FDU Vancouver Alumni Award, nominees must:
- Complete an undergraduate or graduate program at FDU Vancouver
- Submit an online nomination form by June 30, 2026
- (Outstanding Young Alumni Award only) Be 29 years old or younger
Nomination Process
All nominations are treated with the utmost confidentiality and are managed by the FDU Vancouver Marketing and Communications Team. The process includes three stages:
Step 1: Submit a Nomination
- Complete the online nomination form. Submissions are reviewed by the FDU Vancouver Alumni Awards Committee.
Please note: Only one nomination for a category per candidate is required; multiple nominations for the same category do not increase a nominee’s chances of selection.
Step 2: Follow‑Up
- The nominator may be contacted in case additional information about the alumni nominee is required.
Step 3: Final Review and Approval
- Following full consideration, the Alumni Awards Committee will recommend finalist(s) for approval by the FDU Vancouver leadership team.
