PAS Executive Council

The governing body of the Senate is a 10-person Executive Council, each serving a two-year term.

  • Three Officers: President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer
  • Four Senators-at-Large: Two from each NJ campus
  • Two Campus Speakers: one from each campus
  • Past President: ex-officio role is to advise the Executive Council.

General elections for all positions on the Executive Council are held during odd-numbered years. Nominations and votes are solicited by emails to the general membership two months before the general election. Announcements of the new slate of officers follow.

2025-2027

  • Lane former PAS president

    President: Lane Goldstein

    Lane started his journey at FDU in 1994 as a student and is now the University Director of IT Business Services, Overseeing Access Technologies, Multimedia Services, and Voice Services.

  • Paige PAS

    Vice President: Paige Soltano

    Paige is the Director of Placement and Outreach for Silberman College of Business. She is looking forward to serving the PAS community for another term.

    Rebecca is the University Director of Housing and Residence Life and Professional Administrative Senate Campus speaker for the Metropolitan Campus.

Metropolitan Campus

    Angel works for the School of Nursing and Allied Health as their Outreach Coordinator. He enjoys connecting with people and assisting the students.

    Allison Smagin joined FDU in July 2022 as the Assistant Director of University Honors Programs. She has experience in higher education working in both student and academic affairs. She looks forward to bringing her diverse background to PAS.

    Senator at Large: Michelle Kramisen

    Michelle is a Learning Disabilities Specialist at the Regional Center for Learning Disabilities on the Metro Campus and has been an adjunct in the writing program since joining the campus in 2014.

Florham Campus

    Karen joined FDU in August 2014 and is a Learning Disabilities Specialist at the Regional Center for Learning Disabilities on the Florham Campus.

  • Florham Campus: Senator at Large: America Carlough

    Senator at Large:  America Carlough

    America is the Academic Advisor for the Becton College of Nursing, Health Studies, and Allied Health programs within the CAASS- Center for Academic Advising and Student Success offices. She advises all students in the first year through graduation, as well as transfer students and those students in clinical rotations at hospitals and imaging centers.

    Terry is the Assistant Athletic Director for Business Operations for the FDU Devils, Florham Campus. She is completing her 10th year with FDU.

  • Jason Madsen

    Vice President: Jason Madsen

    Jason Madsen is the volleyball coach on the Florham Campus. In addition to coaching, he coordinates the work-study students for the athletic department. Jason is also a professor in the University CORE curriculum system.
