Alpha Sigma Tau Chapter at FDU honored with National Award

Awards were announced at Alpha Sigma Tau’s 45th National Convention in Portsmouth/Norfolk, Virginia, June 20-23, 2024.

The Epsilon Theta Chapter was recognized with the Academic Excellence Award. The Academic Excellence Award is presented to chapters with the highest average chapter GPA for the preceding three semesters.

Chapter President Janeen Darwish and chapter member Rebecca Garcia were present to accept the award. Continuous Open Bidding Advisor Kortney Powlison Porter was also in attendance.

The Alpha Sigma Tau National Council congratulates the Epsilon Theta Chapter for their outstanding hard work, perseverance, and commitment to the Sorority and their community.

About the Epsilon Theta Chapter of Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority – The Epsilon Theta Chapter of Alpha Sigma Tau was established at Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2008. Since then, almost 150 women have been initiated into the Epsilon Theta Chapter of Alpha Sigma Tau. Today, the chapter continues to provide women at Fairleigh Dickinson University with a community of belonging, personal and professional development opportunities, and an outlet to contribute to the local Teaneck community.
