FDU Associate Professor April Patrick Releases New Book: ‘Women’s Health in Britain and America.’

March 29, 2024 – Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) is proud to announce the release of a new book authored by Dr. April Patrick, Associate Professor and University Director of Honors at FDU. Titled Women’s Health in Britain and America: Texts and Contexts, the book collects over one hundred texts to offer historical context for the critical issues surrounding women’s health today around preventing maternal mortality, access to reproductive care, and rates of breast and gynecological cancers.

Accompanying the release of Women’s Health in Britain and America are a series of promotional events, including events with FDU’s Becton College for Women’s History Month and with the Chatham Public Library and Roxbury Public Library in May for National Women’s Health Week. Additionally, Dr. April Patrick is working with a regional policy institute, contributing expertise and insights to the development of a white paper and other policy materials on maternal health.
