FDU Remains Among Best Value Schools

September 24, 2026 – The latest US News & World Report rankings once again recognize the value of an FDU degree as both the Florham and Metropolitan campuses were ranked in the top 10 in the north region.

“There are many different ways to rank and analyze colleges,” President Michael Avaltroni said, “but we have always been most proud of the value we offer our hard-working and talented students. This recognition reaffirms that value and reinforces the commitment we pledge to our students to make their investment count and to help them lead successful careers and make significant contributions to society.”

As was done last year, the two New Jersey campuses received separate rankings. The Florham Campus was highly ranked for quality and value (ranked 32 in the north among top private schools and 4 for best value), while the Metropolitan Campus was again cited for excellence in social mobility (ranked 9 in the north) and best value (7).“Both campuses have special characteristics and traits,” added President Avaltroni, and we are pleased they were recognized for their strengths and the value they provide to our students.”

FDU was also again ranked among the Best Colleges for Veterans (10 in the north) and several undergraduate programs were named among best including business, engineering, psychology, computer science and nursing.

Under President Avaltroni FDU is focusing heavily on professional, career-focused programs and was recently named the number one workforce development leader by Business In New Jersey Everyday (BINJE). The University’s major strategic initiative is FDU HealthPath Forward, which is expanding health and health-related programs to improve healthcare delivery and address workforce demands.
