Metropolitan Campus Students Participate in Undergraduate Research Symposium

Several FDU Metropolitan Campus students representing the Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Physics and the Department of Biological Sciences presented on April 22 at the 2023 Annual Student Research Symposium at William Paterson University.

Entering its 16th year, the Undergraduate Research Symposium provides an opportunity for students in biological, chemical and environmental sciences to showcase their talents and share their research achievements with their peers from nearly 16 universities in the tri-state area.

“Symposiums like these are important as it allows the students to represent FDU and present their research to an outside audience,” said Thomas Drwiega, Chemistry Lab Supervisor at FDU’s Metropolitan Campus. “Along with that, having the opportunity to be able to receive some notoriety for their hard work, time, and dedication that they put in over the past year is an additional benefit too.”
