Academic Profile

In addition to his academic activities in education and research, Dr. Scotti has served as a consultant to a variety of healthcare and life sciences organizations.  He has earned and maintained professional certifications in several areas of healthcare management:  Certified Healthcare Quality Professional (CPHQ), Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) Certified Specialist in Managed Care (CSMC), and Certified Healthcare Executive (CHE).   Dr. Scotti is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (FHFMA), and is a member of the Academy of Management.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Scotti has been the recipient of numerous awards for academic and professional achievements including:  the Distinguished Faculty Award for Research and Scholarship, the New Jersey Business and Industry Council Bright Idea Award, the ACHE Regent’s Leadership Award and Service Recognition Award (conferred by the American College of Healthcare Executives); and the William G. Fulmer Bronze Award, the Robert H. Reeves Silver Award, the Frederick T. Muncie Gold Award, and the Medal of Honor (conferred by the Healthcare Financial Management Association).  He is also a co-recipient of a Best Theory to Practice Award by the Academy of Management.  Added to these honors, his biography has been published in more than 50 editions of Who’s Who, including Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Education, and Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare.
