Academic Profile
Dr. Kalabalik-Hoganson is Department Chair and Full Professor of Pharmacy Practice with FDU College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She received her PharmD from St. John’s University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2008; she completed a first-year post-graduate residency at Valley Hospital and a second-year post-graduate specialty residency in Critical Care at New York Methodist Hospital. Dr. Kalabalik-Hoganson completed her Master’s in Public Health at Fairleigh Dickinson University in May 2021.
Dr. Kalabalik-Hoganson joined FDU College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2013. She teaches a variety of courses related to critical care, clinical toxicology, dermatology, self-care, evidence-based medicine, and public health. Dr. Kalabalik-Hoganson serves as a faculty and student mentor and consistently includes students in her research projects.
Dr. Kalabalik-Hoganson served as the Director of the Public Policy Council for the New Jersey Society of Health-System Pharmacists from 2020 to 2021 and President of the NJSHP Central Chapter from 2014 to 2015. She was elected as a New Jersey delegate for ASHP and has served since 2018. Dr. Kalabalik-Hoganson was appointed as a member of the ASHP Development of Student Education and Learning Experiences Section Advisory Group in July 2021. Dr. Kalabalik-Hoganson was selected to serve on the New Jersey Healthy People 2030 Access to Quality Care Action Team. She served as Chair of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Public Health Special Interest Group (SIG) and AACP Public Health SIG Emergency Preparedness Committee. She is the Social Media Editor of Annals of Pharmacotherapy and serves on the editorial board. She has peer-reviewed for several notable journals and has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications and presented at multiple local, state, and national venues.
