Academic Profile

Dr. Tara Jenner-Donaldson joined Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Physician Assistant Program in 2023. Tara has worked in various capacities in higher, physician assistant, and medical education since 2012. Her most recent position was as the clinical coordinator and an assistant professor for a new physician assistant program, where she contributed to the accreditation process, served as the project director for the program’s HRSA grant, and created the program’s rural health track.

Dr. Jenner-Donaldson’s other academic highlights include developing a medical narrative elective for second-year medical students and working to implement the health humanities in health professions education.

Dr. Jenner-Donaldson’s research interests include patient/provider communication, medical narrative, infertility, and reproductive medicine, the stigmatization of illness, rural health, health policy, and the social determinants of health.
