The Artificial Intelligence Certificate helps students gain valuable skills in a competitive professional world. This certificate prepares students  through practical and hands-on experience with generative AI at the college level to ensure that graduates can accomplish generative AI tasks in the work-place upon graduation. The certificate is housed in the Olsen College of Engineering and Science to take advantage of the faculty specialization and capacity to assist students with building, customizing, and analyzing AI tools, platforms, and projects. In addition, the certificate is built to allow students to pursue AI through the lens of their interests and skills regardless of their major. 

Certificate Requirements

Courses that fulfill this certificate’s requirements can by found easily! Simply log into Self-Service and select the “AI Certificate” tag in the “Course Type” field. The list of AI courses keeps growing—make sure to check Self-Service

Required Courses (6 credits)

  • MIS 1045 Information Technology or CSCI 1145 Computer Science Fundamentals (3 credits)
  • OSLN 4001 Senior Project in Artificial Intelligence (3 credits)
