University-Wide Meeting Grid
The University-Wide Meeting Grid was developed through our Shared Governance structure and approved by the Faculty Senate, PAS, Union Leadership, and Student Government before being approved by the Governance Steering Council. It goes into effect as of the fall 2025 semester.
First Wednesday of the Month
- 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM EST: Faculty Senate Executive Committee
- 2:00 – 4:00 PM EST: Faculty Senate, Student Government, Union Leadership Meetings
- 4:00 – 5:00 PM EST: Cultural Event Programming Councils, Community Affairs Program Councils
Second Wednesday of the Month
- 2:00 – 4:00 PM EST: Faculty Senate Committee Meetings (including UPBC, APRC, FRW, Handbook), Student Government Committee Meetings, PAS Committee Meetings
- 4:00 – 5:00 PM EST: Ad Hoc Task Forces
Third Wednesday of the Month
- 2:00 – 4:00 PM EST: College and School-wide Faculty Meetings
- 4:00 – 5:00 PM EST: Ad Hoc Task Forces
Fourth Wednesday of the Month
- 2:00 – 5:00 PM EST: Governance Steering Council
- 2:00 – 4:00 PM EST: IT Advisory Council, Council for Community Success, University Student Affairs Committee, Grants and Sponsored Research Council, and, as needed, University Review Committee and University Grievance Committee
- 4:00 – 5:00 PM EST: Ad hoc task forces and, as needed, second meetings of the month for UPBC, APRC, FRW, and Handbook Committees of the Faculty Senate
Fifth Wednesday of the Month
(only once per fall semester and once per spring semester)
- 2:00 – 4:00 PM EST: Professional Development Opportunities, Campus-Wide Cultural Programming Events
- 4:00 – 5:00 PM EST: Ad hoc task forces
Department and Program Meetings, FLPR, SLPR, and EPC Meetings Scheduled Separately from This Grid, e.g., Friday afternoons or Wednesday mornings or early afternoons (for programs and departments that do not teach classes in Vancouver)
PAS Executive Committee will meet on Thursday afternoons as scheduled by PAS leadership; PAS Membership meetings will be held on Tuesday afternoons also as scheduled by PAS leadership.
