Dr. Bhatt has been working in higher education for the past 10+ years. Prior to coming to FDU in Fall 2019, she has worked at the SUNY Fashion Institute of Technology, FIT, Rutgers University-New Brunswick, and Bergen Community College. Dr. Bhatt has experience working within various areas of student affairs, including, but not limited to, BIT/Care Teams, student conduct, Title IX, student leadership, student activities, career development and academic advising. Dr. Bhatt earned her Bachelor of Music from The College of New Jersey, her Master of Arts in Counseling from Montclair State University and her Doctorate of Education from Saint Peter’s University. Dr. Bhatt’s primary goal in working in student conduct is always reducing recidivism and increasing opportunities for growth and development.

- Prior to joining FDU as a staff member, Medjina Milfort has been a paraprofessional in higher education throughout her undergraduate and graduate studies. Medjina has experience working in various areas of student affairs including but not limited to Housing and Residence Life as a Resident Assistant and Graduate Hall Director, as well as serving on various Dean of Students committees. In addition to this, Medjina has experience working as an immigration law paralegal. Medjina earned both of her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Criminal Justice with a minor in Social Justice Advocacy from Fairleigh Dickinson University- Metropolitan Campus. Medjina is passionate about advocating for and being a resource for students. As a Criminal Justice scholar, Medjina strongly believes in rehabilitative practices to help reduce recidivism and improve community reentry. As a higher education professional, Medjina’s goal is to also provide students with opportunities to learn and grow from their experiences.
