A 22-minute video interview from Tiempo (WABC-TV) highlights how Fairleigh Dickinson University supports its Latino and first-generation student communities through the Hispanic Center. FDU representatives Irene Ojo, Luz Elena Flores, and Arianne Alvarez discuss the center’s two decades of service, its student-focused programs, and its role in helping Latino students access educational opportunities and resources. The segment also notes the significant presence of Latino students at FDU’s Teaneck campus, where they represent more than 20% of the student population.

The video also features a celebration of Puerto Rican Heritage Month, with a discussion about the Puerto Rican Institute for the Development of the Arts (PRIDA), its mission, and its cultural programming. PRIDA representatives highlight the organization’s efforts to celebrate Puerto Rican heritage, including the 20th annual Puerto Rican Artisans and Authors Fair.
