Writer’s Camp

Writer’s Camp

Writer’s Camp is a scholarly writing initiative dedicated to advancing the development and dissemination of nursing knowledge. This innovative online community is committed to excellence in writing, editing, and publishing with a distinct emphasis on nursology.

Through its “Camporee” and “Trail Pack” events, participants engage in live monthly Zoom sessions or podcasts focused on topics related to scholarly writing, editorial processes, and publication strategies. These sessions provide a collaborative environment for nurse scholars to refine their work and enhance their contributions to nursing knowledge.

Events at Writer’s Camp are scheduled monthly. Visit the site to register and attend a Camporee or Scholarly Dialogue. In addition, recordings of the sessions are archived in the Camporee Theater where “campers” can earn CHs by engaging with a recorded session and completing the course evaluation.

A new Trail Pack is posted on the first Thursday of every month. Read the articles, watch the video (or listen to the podcast), complete the evaluation and receive 2 contact hours for your participation.

Individuals with @FDU.edu email address are eligible to earn 2 free continuing education (CE) credits for attending a session. To register and receive CE credits, use your FDU email address and select “free” when completing your registration at: https://writers-camp.org/shop/

Evidence of course/CE completion: Participants who successfully complete the course will receive an electronic certificate of completion.
