Postdoctoral Healthcare Industry Fellowships
Overview
We offer a specialized training opportunity for graduates holding a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. Designed to bridge academic knowledge and industry application, the fellowship prepares early-career professionals for impactful roles in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare organizations.
Fellows engage directly with partner organizations in areas such as regulatory affairs, medical affairs, clinical development, and market access. The program integrates academic insight with practical learning to help participants build foundational knowledge and applied skills relevant to industry roles.

Curriculum Overview
The FDU Health: Healthcare Industry Fellowship Program integrates professional work experience with structured academic development. The curriculum includes two components:
- Industry Component
Fellows work with partnering companies in functional areas aligned with their career interests, for example, Health Economics & Outcomes Research.
- FDU Component
Fellows are enrolled in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Teaching Certificate Program, which provides structured teaching opportunities (link to teaching certificate program). In addition, they are appointed as lecturers in the PharmD program. Fellows may also take MPH courses, with earned credits counting toward the MPH degree requirements. Research opportunities are available through collaborations with FDU faculty and/or industry partners, offering the potential for poster presentations and publications.
Eligibility Requirements
- PharmD degree from an accredited pharmacy program
- Strong interest in healthcare industry roles
- U.S. work authorization (if applicable)
