Academic Profile

Professor Oujo has worked in the classroom for over 15 years teaching Composition, English as a Second Language and Public Speaking to immigrant adult learners and English Composition & Literature, Fundamentals of Writing, Masterpieces of Literature, Leadership, Global Issues, and Cross-Cultural Perspectives to traditional-age students in the Latino Promise and HACER programs. Additionally, Professor Oujo is a faculty advisor for Avanza an FDU, a dual enrollment program for bilingual high school students. Lastly, Professor Oujo is a doctoral student at Columbia University’s Teachers College with a focus on English Education, particularly the ways in which the incorporation of digital literacies may impact Latino students in the College English classroom.
