Academic Profile
Dr. Maria Leibfried joined the FDU School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences faculty in September 2015. As Clinical Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Dr. Leibfried provides Doctor of Pharmacy students with experiential education at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. After earning a BS in Pharmacy and a Doctor of Pharmacy from Rutgers University College of Pharmacy, Dr. Leibfried furthered her training through an ASHP-Accredited General Pharmacy Practice Residency at Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, NY. Dr. Leibfriedâ?Ts practice has included community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, consulting pharmacy, and continuing education. Dr. Leibfried brought her years of practice into academia when she joined the faculty of St. Johnâ?Ts University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Queens, NY, and now the School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Fairleigh Dickinson University. In addition to practicing as a licensed pharmacist in New Jersey and New York, she is Board Certified in Nutrition Support Pharmacy.
