Academic Profile

My practice experience has centered on behavioral health, specifically working with individuals with substance-related and other addictive disorders. I believe strongly in social work’s core values and have embraced them in my work with these disadvantaged and marginalized groups. My path to education began as an adjunct instructor. I quickly became passionate about supporting the education and professional growth of future social workers and other health professionals.  I believe that my fundamental role is to help students develop the skills they need to be successful in all of the varied career paths they pursue. Here, at FDU, I look forward to co-creating a space that is supportive and respectful, where everyone in a class (including myself) has something to learn.
