Academic Profile

Rachel Petts Santer, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Marion Turpan College of Psychology and Counseling at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Western Michigan University in 2017, completing both her pre-doctoral internship and a postdoctoral fellowship in child clinical/pediatric integrated care at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. Her research focuses on integrating behavioral health services into pediatric primary care settings. She is particularly interested in developing and evaluating brief and focused interventions that are transportable to primary care. A corresponding line of research relates to treatment processes (i.e., why therapy works) in contemporary behavior therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
