Academic Profile

Rachel Alyssa Petts Santer, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the School of Psychology and Counseling at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Western Michigan University in 2017 and completed both her pre-doctoral internship and a postdoctoral fellowship in child clinical/pediatric integrated care at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. Her research focuses on integrating behavioral health services into pediatric primary care settings. She is particularly interested in developing and evaluating brief and focused interventions that are transportable to primary care. A corresponding line of research relates to treatment processes (i.e., why therapy works) in contemporary behavior therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
